Privacy Policy

Always SEO Assistant ("the app") is operated by Always Digital, a brand of HornTech Digital Marketing ("we", "us", "our"). The app performs SEO analysis and optimization work on Shopify stores that we manage on behalf of our clients. This policy explains what data the app accesses, how we use it, and how long we keep it.

What we collect

With the merchant's authorization, the app reads store content data through the Shopify Admin API:

• Blog posts and articles, including their SEO titles and meta descriptions.
• Online store pages and their SEO metadata.
• Product SEO metadata, such as page titles, meta descriptions, and handles.
• Aggregate storefront analytics used to prioritize optimization work.

We also store the store's myshopify domain and the Admin API access token issued at installation, which are required to make these API calls.

What we do not collect

• No customer personal data. The app does not read, store, or process shopper names, email addresses, or contact details.
• No orders, carts, checkouts, or fulfilment records.
• No payment data of any kind. We never receive card numbers, billing details, or payout information.

How we use the data

Store content data is used for one purpose only: SEO analysis and optimization of the merchant's store. That includes producing SEO health overviews, auditing individual articles and pages, and generating recommendations that the merchant's account manager reviews before anything is applied. We do not use the data for advertising, profiling, model training, or any purpose unrelated to the SEO work the merchant has engaged us to do.

Storage and security

Admin API access tokens are stored encrypted on our own servers, outside the public web root, and are accessible only to authorized Always Digital staff and the systems that run the analysis. Store content retrieved through the API is processed transiently to generate reports and recommendations; we do not maintain a persistent copy of your store's content beyond what is needed to produce the current analysis.

Uninstalling the app

When a merchant uninstalls the app, Shopify immediately invalidates its access token, and the app loses all access to the store. We purge the stored token for that store from our systems, along with any analysis output retained for that store. Merchants may also request deletion at any time by contacting us at the address below.

Third parties

None. We do not sell, rent, or share store data with third parties, and we do not transmit store data to any external service for advertising, resale, or analytics purposes.

Changes to this policy

If this policy changes, we will update the date at the top of this page. Merchants with an active installation will be notified of any material change that affects how their data is handled.
